Dear Annual Seminar Registrants,
After careful consideration, the NSIPA board has cancelled the Annual Seminar in Las Vegas scheduled to be held April 26-28, 2020, due to current circumstances specifically tied to the COVID-19 virus.
Alexander Graham Bell is noted as saying “when one door closes, another opens”. As the Society was formed to “contribute to the knowledge and experience of the professional auditor”, we are pleased to provide an alternate educational opportunity. We will be replacing the Annual Seminar this year with a Virtual Conference. This is not a webinar, but a full online conference. We are in the process of confirming our speakers and will be publishing an update to our conference website outlining the additional details. We are planning on hosting the Virtual Conference on the same days as the scheduled Annual Seminar, but in the format of half days.
We understand there are many reasons our registrants attend our seminar. We hope this Virtual Conference will provide benefits to a larger population of attendees while still providing the educational benefits generally obtained in person. We are working with our vendors and sponsors to provide this Virtual Conference at a reasonable cost to attendees. Our conference website will be updated with this information shortly. Please give us a few days to sort through all the moving pieces and look for additional communications. Refund of the Annual Seminar fees paid to NSIPA and related details will be communicated to registrants directly. Any registrant who may wish to donate their registration fee to help support the organization may contact the Executive Director, Brad Feldman at email@example.com.
