“Contributions or gifts to the National Society of Insurance Premium Auditors are not deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.  Dues payments are deductible by members as an ordinary and necessary expense.”  See §10701 of the Revenue Act of 1987. For income tax purposes, member dues paid are deductible as a business expense. However NSIPA estimates that 0% of all dues paid go toward non-deductible lobbying expenditures. All members are advised that this percentage of dues paid is non-deductible for income tax purposes.
